Book: Last Stop on Market Street, by Matt de la Peña
Activity: Tissue Box Bus

Supplies:
-preferably a long empty tissue box, with the plastic film inside, but we can make almost any similarly sized box work. If you don’t have a tissue box, be prepared to do some extra cardboard cutting for the kids for the bus windows
-white construction paper
-yellow construction paper just in case the coating on your tissue box resists the acrylic pain
-black construction paper
-white crayon and 2 inch circle for tracing wheels on black paper
-yellow acrylic paint
-black acrylic paint
-markers, all colors, including different skin colors
-scissors
-tape

Projects are best for ages 4-6 with accompanying adult, but older and younger children in the household are welcome to participate. As a branch of the Floyd County Library, the Carnegie Center for Art and History supports the growth and creativity of an engaged, informed, and connected community.

Register to receive your Zoom link and password via email. You will need a mobile device (such as an ipad) or computer with audio and microphone capability. Supplies are common to most households with young children, but substitutions are possible. You can also order supplies with free delivery from Preston Arts Center!
