Family Fun: Pictures for Fingers
June 8, 2019  |  10 AM-Noon

Did you know you can look at a picture with your fingers? Create a picture with objects like rough sandpaper, smooth plastic, squishy foam, and soft felt. Then you can sign the creation with a label on which braille is embossed. Books for people who are blind sometimes come with “raised line” or “tactile” pictures, which are explored using hands and fingertips. The finished product is art that people who are sighted and blind can both enjoy. This event is free, but registration is required. Click here to register.
