Carnegie Center is Currently Closed | Hours

On Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM the Carnegie Center for Art and History is having a free musical performance, “A Tribute to the Artist,” by Richard Sisto and Jeremy Allen. The concert is in honor of Penny Sisto, whose exhibition, “The Sixties – Turn on, Tune in, Drop out!” is currently on display at the Carnegie Center.

The musical program will feature a variety of musical colors from the 1960’s including The Beatles, Ornette Coleman, Henry Mancini, Herbie Hancock and will also feature original compositions by Sisto and more. No registration is required for this free event.

Richard Sisto, husband to Penny Sisto, is a noted jazz vibraphonist, and holds a position at the University of Louisville as the jazz vibe instructor. Jeremy Allen is the jazz bass instructor and Assistant Dean of the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. The pair have been performing together for several years and have national and international performance experience with jazz greats, including Kenny Werner, Fred Hersch, Kenny Wheeler, Bobby Broom and many others. Previously played cities and venues among their tour list include Asheville, NC, Nashville, TN, Indianapolis, IN, Cincinnati, OH, Louisville, KY, Vanderbilt University, Indiana University, Seelbach Hilton Jazz Bar, Blue Wisp Jazz Club, Actors Theatre, Cathedral of the Assumption and World Fest, The Jazz Kitchen, and French Lick Jazz Fest, to name a few.
