History Deep Dives: Food and the Community
Tuesday, August 9, 2022
12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
The Carnegie Center and Central Branches of the Floyd County Public Library are pleased to offer “History Deep Dives,” a monthly daytime history speaker series. Programs are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and will alternate between the Carnegie Center and the Central Branch.
Join us at the Carnegie Center August 9 from 12-1 p.m. when we have Katie Davidson, the Community Wellness Coordinator from the Purdue University Extension, to share about food insecurity in our area, community gardens, and ways that the community can engage in food insecurity in Southern Indiana. Following the program attendees are encouraged to move to the Gallery Level to view “Ate x 10: A Group Exhibition About Food” featuring a number of local artists.
