Keith Haring: Street Art Boy Film Screening & Print Viewing

Saturday, August 19, 2023

1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Join us for a special screening of the American Masters documentary Keith Haring: Street Art Boy on the final day of the AIDS Memorial Quilt display at the Carnegie Center. International art sensation Keith Haring blazed a trail through the legendary art scene of 1980s New York and revolutionized the worlds of pop culture and fine art. This documentary features previously unheard interviews with Haring and unprecedented access to the Haring Foundation’s archives, telling the extraordinary story of an artist who lived and created with boundless energy.

Before and after the screening, attendees are invited to view an original Keith Haring work (pencil and acrylic on paper; the design is featured on the New York City AIDS memorial), on loan from a local collector for this event.

Note: This film is rated TV-MA and contains content which may not be suitable for all audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.
