Mr. Derrer will touch upon his vision for the Kentucky Opera, his background in opera, and the Brown-Forman 2018/19 Season, featuring Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Ben Moore’s Enemies, a Love Story, and Verdi’s Rigoletto. Mr. Derrer’s understanding of opera production starts from the ground up. Through his experiences with major companies in Dallas, Chicago, and New York, he has developed a unique perspective in fundraising, audience development, branding, and engaging fully with the community, learning why people give to the opera.
