Night at the Carnegie presents Captain Klimt: An Art History Comic Book!
Tuesday, July 11, 2023
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Professor Valdemar Vasari’s life was forever changed the day he was doused in radioactive oil paint and gold foil, granting him all the powers of a Gustav Klimt painting! Now he protects the art world from ruffians and evil doers as… CAPTAIN KLIMT!
Captain Klimt is the Carnegie Center’s first-ever comic book, designed to get readers excited about art and history, and to spotlight the various programs offered by the Carnegie Center and the other branches of the Floyd County Library. Come join us as we celebrate our first issue with a Launch Party event where we’ll be enjoying free food, beverages, music, and a Comic Drawing Workshop where guests of all ages can learn to draw their own bizarre and unique superheroes! Guests can also learn about all the unique ways local artists are sharing and publishing their work with Printed, a community art zine!
Registration is recommended but drop-ins are always welcome!
