Summer Family Celebration
July 20, 2019 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Who says you have to be quiet in a museum?!? It’s a Summer Family Celebration at the Carnegie Center—featuring art-making, live music by Evan and Vanessa, pop-up performances of Peter and the Starcatcher from TheatreWorks, Turners Circus, an Instalibrary from the Floyd County Library, face painting, and much more! It’s also the last day to catch the popular Form, Not Function: Quilt Art at the Carnegie exhibition.
The first 200 children with a Cultural Pass will receive a complimentary hot dog lunch from Fun in a Bun. Additional hot dogs will be available for purchase. Get your Cultural Pass at the Floyd County Library or at the Carnegie Center during the event.
The Summer Family Celebration is also a Summer Reading Boost for the Floyd County Library. Enjoy space-themed activities, including glitter milky ways and marbled planets. July 20th is the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
