A Reason to Remember: A Virtual New Albany Field Trip

February 5 – April 10, 2021

During your visit, you can experience A Reason to Remember: A Virtual New Albany Field Trip in a special annex exhibit in the Sally Newkirk Gallery. This educational film was produced by the Carnegie Center for Art and History with Uproar Films and in collaboration with four other historic sites in New Albany: Town Clock Church, Culbertson Mansion, Scribner House, and Division Street School. A Reason to Remember: A Virtual New Albany Field Trip was funded in part by the Indiana Arts Commission.

The idea for creating this film was inspired by the 3rd and 4th graders of the New Albany-Floyd County Schools. We hope that these students can enjoy learning about the historic sites that they would have visited on their annual field trips this year and last year, in a condensed and more accessible way, but we think that it can also serve the interests of the broader community – hopefully for years to come.
